About Us

In the fall of 2006, after the success of a few tests on the internet broadcast, we here at the Maniacs Lounge premiered our first show on December 16, 2006. During that show, several issues arose from a production standpoint. The enthusiasm of the hosts carried the show for 3 hours which we had 4 listeners. Since that momentous occasion, each show has gained more listeners each time. Each show has had its own set of challenges and issues that have allowed us to become better prepared for production faux pas. On January 26, 2006, our first real production meeting took place. Items discussed at this meeting were the Website implementation, Independent Artist format, news content, marketing and development, logo and theme contests, program direction, and production quality.

Dana “Mumbles” Murphy, as our Music Director, searches for, contacts

Mike “Batman” Wood, as our News Director, searches various news reports
“edits” all news stories for the show.

Dawn “Downtown Dee” Murphy as our Marketing and Program Director,
coordinates all program items and marketing efforts.

Jim “Mad Max” Murphy, as our Producer, maintains our website, streaming
media server, computer systems, and facilitates our production. Our team
is constantly looking for ways to improve the show on every level.
